September 20–21, 2025, The Grand Finale of Digital Dragons: The Cybersecurity Challenge (DDC 2025) took place at the Vietnam–Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU) in Da Nang. The competition and cybersecurity symposium were co-organized by VKU and Evvo Labs, with the patronage of the National Cybersecurity Association (NCA).
This year, 25 top teams, selected from 146 nationwide, battled through 8 hours of intense, real-world challenges across five categories: Web Exploitation, Cryptography, Reverse Engineering, Pwnable, and Miscellaneous.
At the symposium, Mr. Tô Hồng Nam, Deputy Director General of the Department of Science, Technology and Informatics (Ministry of Education and Training), emphasized:
“Digital transformation cannot succeed without cybersecurity.”
Celebrating Talent, Teamwork, and Tenacity
DDC 2025 was more than a test of technical expertise; it was a celebration of creativity, teamwork, and resilience.
-
First Place: CyberCh1ck (Academy of Cryptography Techniques, Hanoi)
-
Second Place: UIT.The Lost Beyond (University of Information Technology – VNU HCMC)
-
Third Place: Ruby Chan (Academy of Cryptography Techniques, HCMC Campus)
Beyond prizes, the greatest achievement of DDC is fostering confidence, nurturing talent, and connecting students with industry experts and organizations.
Evvo Labs Interns Showcase Research Projects
During the symposium, two groups of final-year VKU students, also interns at Evvo Labs, presented their applied research projects that bridge academic knowledge with real-world cybersecurity needs:
🔹 AI-Powered Autonomous Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing
By: Huỳnh Vĩnh Vinh & Võ Đức Tín
Leveraging AI to automate vulnerability scanning and penetration testing, this project aims to reduce detection time and minimize human error.
🔹 Autonomous SOC Triage System
By: Phan Thanh Tuấn & Võ Văn Bảo
An AI-driven system designed to automatically classify and prioritize SOC alerts, helping security teams focus on real threats and overcome alert fatigue.
These projects are proof of the innovation, creativity, and practical capabilities of Vietnam’s young cybersecurity talent. For Evvo Labs, it is a point of pride to see our interns bringing forward breakthrough solutions aligned with the industry’s needs.
Evvo Labs’ Commitment to the Region
Evvo Labs is proud to select VKU as our co-host for DDC 2025, marking the third consecutive year of collaboration. This partnership allows us to witness the brilliance of Vietnam’s young cybersecurity professionals. Their creativity and determination, including that of our own interns, affirm that the future of digital defense in the region is in strong hands.
As Mr. Vince Chew, COO of Evvo Labs, shared:
